All appointments last up to 50 minutes and are charged at £75. I am registered with BUPA and Nuffield Health so if you have a policy with either of these organisations please contact them to discuss if they can cover your fees.
Our first appointment will be an assessment appointment, where we will discuss the areas you want to work on and which treatment would be the best option for you. I specialise in the following treatments:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a practical solution focused treatment which helps you to understand cycles of depression and/or anxiety and implement strategies to manage these problems more effectively. CBT is recommended by NICE Guidelines for a range of problems including depression, generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety disorder, health anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder and body dysmorphic disorder.
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
CFT is a branch of CBT informed by theories of evolution and neuroscience. CFT helps you to understand your reactions to difficulties and develop compassion for yourself and others as a way of alleviating depression and/or anxiety. My clinical work is supervised by Tobyn Bell who is an experienced CFT practitioner, author and trainer. CFT can be particularly helpful for low self-esteem, self-criticism, shame, burnout or long term health problems.
Person-centred Counselling
Counselling provides a non-judgemental space where you can explore any topics you wish with someone who is not involved in your day to day life or difficult situation. This can help you to process difficult emotions and to view situations differently. This approach can be particularly helpful for bereavement or exploring difficulties from your past.
Clinical Supervision
A service for other psychology professionals to ensure that they are providing safe and effective treatment to their clients. I focus on meeting the requirements of the BABCP, and can help you to develop as a clinician and to enjoy your work.
